1. THURSDAY NOON VIGIL FOR PEACE
Our weekly noon vigils are on Thursdays. We vigil for peace in front of the Rolla Post Office THIS THURSDAY, March 18, (and all subsequent Thursdays until peace is established) from Noon to 1:00 PM. Please try to join us. The temperature is predicted to be in the low 50s under mostly sunny skies. If you do not feel comfortable standing with us in front of the Post Office, please consider driving by and showing your support for our message by honking your horn and flashing a peace sign.
2. ST PATRICK'S DAY PARADE
Four of us walked for peace last Saturday in the St. Patrick's Day parade. We doubled our numbers since the Christmas parade. As always, the response to our message of peace was mostly positive.
3. TEACH THE CHILDREN WELL
Here are a couple of articles on the "lessons" we have been teaching the children of Palestine, (click here) and (here). The median age in Gaza is 15, and not much higher in the West Bank. The majority of Palestinians living in Palestine are children. To quote Ron David: "Let's stop kidding ourselves. Terrorists aren't born, they're made. There's even a formula for making them." (Arabs & Israel for Beginners, p164)
4. MEANWHILE IN THE AMERICAS
Two months after the earthquake, the world has contributed less than half of what is needed for emergency relief in Haiti, (click here).
5. AND HERE IN THE USA
Bank of America which received over $50 Billion in tax-funded bailout money, steals woman's parrot; and she wasn't even in default, (click here).
