Dear Friends:

          In this newsletter is:

2. MCCHRYSTAL PLAN FOR AFGHANISTAN FLOPS (PREDICTABLY)
3. WHITEHOUSE CONTINUES TO ISSUE WAIVERS FOR OFFSHORE DRILLING

          ==================

1. THURSDAY NOON VIGIL FOR PEACE

Our weekly noon vigils are on Thursdays. We vigil for peace in front of the Rolla Post Office THIS THURSDAY, May 13, (and all subsequent Thursdays until peace is established) from Noon to 1:00 PM. Please try to join us. The temperature is predicted to be in the low 70s with rain likely. If you do not feel comfortable standing with us in front of the Post Office, please consider driving by and showing your support for our message by honking your horn and flashing a peace sign.

2. MCCHRYSTAL PLAN FOR AFGHANISTAN FLOPS (PREDICTABLY)

General McChrystal's plans to pacify Afghanistan seem to be failing, (click here). Hmmmm. I wonder why? Maybe because the Afghans just don't want foreign soldiers in their country.

3. WHITEHOUSE CONTINUES TO ISSUE WAIVERS FOR OFFSHORE DRILLING

Failing to take seriously what may be the world's largest environmental disaster yet, Whitehouse continues to issue offshore drilling waivers, (click here). Meanwhile, all our wonderful technology fails to stem oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico, (click here). Maybe it's time to Just Say No to more drilling. Maybe it's time to Just Say No to our wasteful lifestyle. Maybe it's time to Just Say No to war. Maybe it's time to say Yes to peace, non-polluting renewables and energy conservation.
