1. THURSDAY NOON VIGIL FOR PEACE

Our weekly noon vigils are on Thursdays. We vigil for peace in front of the Rolla Post Office THIS THURSDAY, September 10, (and all subsequent Thursdays until peace is established) from Noon to 1:00 PM. Please try to join us. The temperature is predicted to be around 80 under partly cloudy skies. If you do not feel comfortable standing with us in front of the Post Office, please consider driving by and showing your support for our message by honking your horn and flashing a peace sign.

2. WHAT HAPPENED TO CLOSING GUANTANAMO?

The death of Guantanamo 7 year resident Mohammed al-Hanashi, declared a "suicide" by military authorities, looks suspiciously like murder, (click here).

3. 36 YEARS LATER, VIETNAM STILL SUFFERS FROM AGENT ORANGE POISONING

Talk is cheap. While talks go on, US supplies only a small fraction of the funds necessary to clean up the poison it spread copiously about Vietnam 36 years ago, (click here).

4. MOHAMMAD YUNUS COULD TEACH US BANKS A FEW LESSONS

While U.S. commercial banks remain in crisis and in need of taxpayer "assistance," Mohammad Yunus's Grameen Bank, that makes loans to the poorest of the poor in Bangladesh remains strong and financially stable, (click here).
